Good bye Facebook, I won’t miss you.

Facebook is like high school, like it’s this peer pressure driven tiny microcosm of judgemental bias based on blurbs (What are you doing right now????), snippets of pictures, fragmented lists, strange quizzes and pokes… We are all much more than these slapped together little profiles. Here’s the way I look at it. The people that know me and that I want to know I stay in touch with and they know where to find me. The others…well…they can just kiss my ass I haven’t seen them or spoken to them in years. Then of course there are the friends of the friends of the friends that you’ve never, ever seen in person and never will that start commenting on your virtual life as if they really know you. Right now I guess you could say that I am laughing out loud. I’m happy I won’t be wasting any more time on Facebook. I felt like I was in the Matrix! It’s all just another layer of social control, another barrier to keep you well grounded and going with the flow. Maybe I’m overreacting, maybe not. All in all it’s not really me.
